She walked around the dark forest looking for him. She was sure this is where she had left him. She knew that this was the place because she seen the same exact carving in the tree. The carving was not so clear but she would read the words "I did..." and that was all. Also the huge bolder was sitting by the tree. Anyways, she knew this was the place, she just knew it. Everything was the exact same she thought. From the huge pile of leaves sitting off to the side, the bolder, the tree carving, and even the blanket she had left him. Everything was the same, except one thing was different. He wasn't there anymore. She worried that she may never find him again. But soon, all of her worrying went away. There he was, coming to her. Her dog had come back. She never knew where he went or why he went, she didn't even know how he got loose from the tree, but she was happy that he came back. From that day on, she never left him unattended and always took him with her.

Well, this was definetly not the ending I was expecting. I want to know the story behind the carving on the story. When you write the character's thoughts try to slant it or put quotation makes around it. Quite a good short story.
ReplyDeleteI love this story. The whole plot twist was excellent and very enjoyable. In the second to last sentence you put god loose instead of got. This was very good though.
